Chalet Maison-Jaune is one of the few truly ski in, ski out chalets in the Chamonix Valley - perfectly situated right on the blue piste of Chamonix Les Houches, which is ideal for beginners, intermediates, and groups of mixed abilities.
After your long hard day of skiing, walking or climbing, nothing is better than being able to relax those aching muscles, sipping Champagne in the hot tub with snow and ice all around, laughing with friends whilst the sunset turns the snow-capped mountains all-around a rich shade of burgundy.
Once you are thoroughly rested from the day’s skiing, you can enjoy 4 courses of delicious home-cooked food, served with free-flowing wine throughout the meal. The chalet is owner-run, and as your chalet hosts, we take pride in the quality of our cooking.
After the meal, should you wish to watch a movie on the giant 42” plasma television, or listen to some music, then our full collection of over 200 movies, and 500 CDs is available on our multimedia entertainment system. There should be something for everyone’s taste.
Alternatively, you could play on the Nintendo Wii set up in the lounge - We also have a selection of games that you can enjoy.
Or perhaps, you would prefer to simply relax with a book in front of our roaring open log fire, a game of chess and a cognac.

Bedrooms:
All bedrooms have balconies overlooking the ski piste, and their own bathrooms. Our beds are comfortable high-quality beds with 4-season goose-down duvets, white linens and lots of pillows. Large bath towels and hand towels are provided (as well as a cosy towelling bathrobe for the hot tub).
For your comfort, the bathrooms have heated towel rails, and bedrooms and bathrooms have under-floor heating. We also provide hairdryers for your convenience.
It is possible to add cots for babies, or an extra bed for a child or third person sharing..
Lounge:
The lounge is bright and spacious with windows on three sides, including two large French doors giving access to the patio and hot tub deck.
The three-metre long picture window gives you stunning views of the valley. Sink into comfortable sofas by an open log fire. Choose a book from hundreds of titles from our fireside library. Dimmable lighting and reading lamps create a warm and cosy atmosphere in the evenings.
Dining Area:
The dining area seats 10 comfortably around our beautiful round oak table where you will be served hearty portions of delicious home-cooked food accompanied by free-flowing wine! High chairs are available for babies.
Entertainment:
We have a 42" plasma TV with UK satellite, a multimedia entertainment system with a wide selection of ski movies, over 200 movies, and 500 CDs available for your entertainment. Alternatively, please feel free to bring your favourite movies or music.
We also offer unlimited broadband internet access, via our guest computer, or Wi-Fi, free of charge.
Kitchen:
For self-catered groups, a well-equipped semi-professional kitchen is at your disposal. The kitchen includes a 5-burner gas hob, 2 fridges, 2 ovens large enough to roast a turkey in, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster and mixers. There is also crockery, cutlery and glasses for 12 place settings.
We also have a drying room, and a heated ski and boot room.
